Tom Brady tries to recruit baseball star Aaron Judge for the Bucs | Daily Mail Online

Social media was sent into a frenzy after the former New York Yankees superstar rocked up at the game with speculation continuing over the free agent’s future.

And it seems as if it’s not just the Yankees and San Francisco Giants who are interested in recruiting him as Bucs star quarterback Brady also got in the act.

Gave him my best pitch! 😂 Thanks for coming out @thejudge44

Brady joked that he ‘gave him his best pitch’ with Judge’s future currently up in the air

Brady and Judge shook hands and embraced in the tunnel ahead of Tampa Bay’s 17-16 victory, with the NFL star asking: ‘Do you wanna play tight end for us tonight?’

It is unclear what Judge, who was wearing a Mike Evans No. 13 jersey for his visit to the stadium, said in response.

Brady posted a clip of the meeting on his Twitter profile Tuesday morning and said he ‘gave him his best pitch.’ He also thanked Judge for attending the game.

It was no secret that Judge’s contract at the Yankee Stadium was running out at the end of the season and Brady put an option down on the table.

‘Having such an incredible year and now on the brink of free agency, I was wondering what it would take to get you down in Tampa to be a tight end for us next year,’ Brady said. ‘It looks pretty good to me – the way he runs, the size, the catch radius, the power!

‘I know you were a great high school football player. Baseball turned out pretty well for you but this dual sport athlete, we might have to look into.’

Judge joked that he was keen, saying: ‘We can get a nice little split contact, we can find a way to work this out.

‘You give me some looks in the red zone and then I can go and hit some homers. If Tom’s tossing me touch downs, sign me up to play for free.’

The American League MVP enjoyed a record-breaking season with the Yankees, smashing 62 regular-season home runs, but his future is currently up in the air.

The Yankees and San Francisco Giants are supposed front-runners to acquire him, and it has been reported that he has a $300million, eight-year deal on the table from the Bronx Bombers.
