Ten-year-old reporter and sports commentator has gone viral since his touching moment with NFL Pro Bowl quarterback. The young reporter led the athlete into a prayer after his “wise-beyond-his-years” interview.
Ten-Year-Old Reporter
Jeremiah Fennell is not an ordinary young man. He is an honor student, a survivor since birth, and has great faith in God. His traits have caught the attention of FOX5 Las Vegas, giving him an exclusive visit to the studio and a chance to interview his favorite team, the Las Vegas Raiders.
The promising sports broadcaster interviewed different members of the Las Vegas Raiders, including quarterback Derek Carr. He told Derek, “I’ve been a Raiders fan all my life, so you’ve been my quarterback all my life.” But Jeremiah explained that there is more reason why he admires the Christian athlete.
“I admire and respect you so much because of the Christian man that you are, on and off the field,” he said. Jeremiah then shares how Derek’s faith relates to his father. He said, “My dad is also a God-fearing Christian man, and he always teaches me to treat my mom like the queen of my family that she is.”
“In Jesus’ name, Amen”

Jeremiah continued, “I notice that every time you talk about your wife, your face lights up. You smile like you’re talking about your best friend. So, do you remember the exact moment you realized she was your queen?”
At this, the quarterback answered, “You’re gonna make me cry, man. You’re touching my heart.”
He then recalled the moment he went out with his wife, Heather, and realized that he saw her as his wife. “Her name is Queen Heather on my phone,” he said.
Serenity Prayer
Moreover, there have been trade talks about Derek’s team. So, young Jeremiah encouraged the quarterback and led him into prayer. He said, “I’m not concerned about what happens to you this coming offseason. Because no matter what colors you wear or what team you play on, we both know that God has you in his hands, and in the end, we don’t even have control.”
Then, he prayed, “God, grant me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
The Raiders have been delighted with Jeremiah’s work that they surprised him with tickets to the Super Bowl.
