NY Giants vs Titans Prediction and Odds for Week 1 showdown

Here we go, folks. The long wait is almost over for the 2022 regular season to get here. The New York Giants are ready to pack their bags and head to Nashville for the highly-anticipated showdown vs. the Tennessee Titans.

While Tennessee may be favored to come away with a win, that doesn’t mean this won’t be an interesting contest. Matter of fact, it won’t be a surprise at all if the G-Men are able to start the year off with a bang and post an upset win over the Titans. Will Brian Daboll get a victory in his head coaching debut?

Giants vs Titans Odds Week 1

Tennesse indeed is the favorite to come away with a win in this one, as the oddsmakers have them listed at -240 and as 5.5-point favorites. Meanwhile for Big Blue, the G-Men are +198 to record a win straight up, and 5.5-point underdogs.

On paper, you’d think that Tennessee would be able to record a convincing win. As for the over/under, the people over in Vegas think 43.5 points is the right number. Will this turn out to be a defensive battle?

This team has been a force in the AFC South in recent years thanks to the strong play of both Ryan Tannehill and running back Derrick Henry, arguably the top RB in the game. Henry figures to provide plenty of headaches for new defensive coordinator Wink Martindale, but NY’s strength defensively is up front.

Giants vs Titans Prediction Week 1

Just about everyone outside of New Jersey/New York is betting big on the Titans to come out on top. Hey, we don’t blame you for that. With that said, we believe the NY Giants will be able to upset the Titans when they meet on Sunday, Sept. 11.

Why? Well, Daboll has brought in plenty of confidence for the fanbase and guys like Daniel Jones, Saquon Barkley, Kenny Golladay and others are motivated to silence their haters.

This could be an early trap game for the Titans too. Look for NY to steal this one late and win thanks to a Graham Gano field goal. We’ll go with the G-Men to win 27-24. It’ll be a dream debut for Daboll.
