Welcome back to East Rutherford, Isaiah Hodgins. There’s no question that one of the best stories from the 2022 campaign for the NY Giants was the play of Hodgins, a no-name receiver who made his way to East Rutherford in early November. By the time the season wrapped up, few people could argue that he was the most reliable receiver for Daniel Jones.
Looking ahead to next season, No. 18 will be ready to provide plenty more incredible memories for Giants fans to enjoy, as he re-signed with team on Thursday. Hodgins put the pen to paper on a one-year, $870,000 deal.
Hodgins, who was set to become an exclusive rights free agent, is understandably over the moon knowing he’ll be back with Big Blue in ’23. He made that much clear by sharing an incredible video on Twitter to let everyone know how much this all means to him:

WR Isaiah Hodgins is jacked up to be back with the NY Giants
Hodgins may not be looked at to be the WR1 for this squad, but goodness, he sure looked like an elite wideout at times during the 2022 campaign. In the regular season, Hodgins posted 37 receptions for 392 yards and four touchdowns.
In the Wild Card Round win against the Vikings in Minnesota, Hodgins stole the show. In that thrilling contest, the 6-4, 210 pounder caught eight balls from Daniel Jones for 105 yards and a touchdown. Not bad for a youngster who entered the year as a player that not too many people had ever heard of.
Bringing back Hodgins on a one-year, $870,000 contract was a no-brainer for general manager Joe Schoen. It’s a hell of a steal for NY as a whole. Come next offseason, if Hodgins produces once again in ’23, the Giants can look to sign him to a multi-year contract.
For now, Hodgins will use next fall and winter as an audition to earn a nice payday from the organization. Hey, we hope it happens for him.
