When tight end Evan Engram left the NY Giants last offseason and signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars, plenty of Big Blue fans were ecstatic with the news. A lot of people hated watching the former first-round pick suit up for Big Blue, as he’s remembered more for his drops than his touchdowns in East Rutherford.
However, few people can argue that Engram was able to bounce back in a big way this past season. He was downright impressive catching balls from Trevor Lawrence with the Jaguars, which was great to see for him.
Now, it’s up in the air where Engram will be suiting up next September. When asked about his plans, Engram said he’d like to return to Jacksonville, but there are other teams on his mind as well. One of the organizations he mentioned was New York.
“Jacksonville is definitely my #1 spot, but you never know what can happen.”

Evan Engram lists the NY Giants as a team he’d consider signing with
In an interview with The 33rd Team, Engram mentioned the Chiefs, Bengals and G-Men as teams he’d consider inking with if he becomes a free agent. Things didn’t end on the best of terms for Engram at MetLife Stadium, but it’s clear he hasn’t forgotten about his time with the squad.
If general manager Joe Schoen sees this clip, then he may have no choice but to reach out to Engram to see if he really would be open to suiting up once again with NY. This past campaign with Jacksonville, Engram caught caught 73 balls for 766 yards and four touchdowns.
The receptions and yards were a new career high for the 6-3, 240-pounder. The Giants brought in Daniel Bellinger via the NFL Draft last season, but he’s known more as a blocker than a big-time threat for the aerial attack.
If the dollars are right, who knows, maybe a reunion would work out for both sides. However, even Engram knows that plenty of NY fans wouldn’t be too sure about making that happen.
