Browns beat the Bucs, 23-17, in a comeback overtime thriller | Waiting For Next Year

Well, that was a fun one! The Cleveland Browns have gotten back in the win column after beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 23-17, in overtime. Cleveland looked dead in the water for much of the game on offense, but the defense put together their best performance of the season to keep them in the game. The Browns made the clutch plays to get the victory and move to 4-7 on the season.

The Browns were down a touchdown with just over two minutes to play in regulation. Jacoby Brissett and Nick Chubb led the offense all the way down the field to a 4th-and-10 situation on the 12-yard line. David Njoku saved the day as he made a one-handed catch in the endzone to bring in the tying touchdown to force overtime. In overtime, both teams kept punting back to each other until with just under three minutes to play in the game, Brissett and the Browns offense mounted a drive that was catapulted by a 45-yard catch and run by Amari Cooper that set the team up with a first-and-goal situation with under a minute to go in overtime. Two plays later, Nick Chubb gets into the endzone for the winning touchdown. These two drives showed the heart, attention to detail, and clutch gene that the team was lacking over the last month or so. It was a great “good vibes” win for this team and its fans!
