Bills vs. Titans spread, odds, picks: Expert predictions for Week 2 Monday Night Football – The Athletic

The Tennessee Titans and Buffalo Bills may have been two of the top teams in the AFC a year ago, but they could not have looked more dramatically different in their Week 1 performances. So it should not be a surprise that the Bills are opening as double-digit favorites going into Monday’s Week 2 meeting.

Kickoff is at 7:15 p.m. ET Monday on ESPN at Highmark Stadium.

While the Titans were losing a close game at home to the New York Giants, Buffalo went on the road against the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams and completely dismantled them in every game phase. It was one of the most impressive showings of the NFL’s opening week and helped confirm that they are one of the league’s elite teams and should be at the top of every Super Bowl contender list.

The scary thing about the Bills? Josh Allen didn’t play his best game. Buffalo’s defense tormented Matthew Stafford, sacking him and intercepting him. Where is the weakness?

The Titans, meanwhile, have some concerns. Despite being the top seed in the AFC a year ago, Tennessee did not do much to keep up with the other contenders in the AFC. They traded their top wide receiver (A.J. Brown, who had a monster opening week game for the Philadelphia Eagles), and still have Ryan Tannehill at quarterback. Now they are staring at a potential 0-2 start right in the face. The good news for the Titans: Even if they start 0-2, they still play in the AFC South, where all four teams didn’t win last week.
